Scam & Copycat Warning

Peptide “comparison” sites that aren't what they claim.

A wave of copycat sites is republishing our pricing data and our written content while presenting themselves as independent services. This page names them, shows the evidence, and explains why trusting them puts your money at risk.

Evidence, not accusations Screenshots & archived proof Updated as we find more
Why this page exists

The copycats have arrived

PeptideSupermarket® is the UK's original peptide price comparison service. We work directly with the suppliers we list, fetch prices from their own platforms with their permission, and publish exactly how our data is collected. That work is expensive and slow to build - which is why others have decided it's easier to take it.

The sites below republish our data, reproduce our written content, and in one case have cloned our entire site page for page - all while telling you they are independent services verifying prices at the source. They are not. Every claim on this page is backed by a screenshot, a server log, or an archived copy you can check yourself.

The watchlist

Three sites you should not trust with your money

Each of these sites displays the classic warning signs of a copycat operation: content taken from us, independence claims that don't hold up, and no verifiable method behind the numbers they publish. We deliberately do not link to them.

viralpeps.co.uk

A page-for-page clone of this site

ViralPeps has not just taken our data - it has reproduced PeptideSupermarket® almost exactly. Our navigation, our headlines, and our written copy appear on their pages word for word, and their own supplier profiles cite “PeptideSupermarket®” as the source of their ratings. Our full breakdown is in Exhibit C below.

Our copy, word for word Cites us as its own data source Guide sections are empty shells

Caught scraping us by our own firewall

The Vial Report presents itself as an independent price verifier. Our server logs tell a different story: their own crawler, identifying itself as TVR-discovery, was recorded hammering our supplier pages until our rate limiter blocked it. The data they claim to verify at the source appears to come from us. See Exhibit A.

Our name is all over their source code

Save On The Vial claims to independently verify peptide prices. Yet an archived snapshot of their own homepage contains references to peptidesupermarket.co.uk throughout the page source - the fingerprints of where their data really comes from. The snapshot is preserved on the Internet Archive so it cannot be quietly edited. See Exhibit B.

The evidence

See it for yourself

We don't ask you to take our word for any of this. Every exhibit below is a screenshot, a live server log, or an independently archived snapshot.

Exhibit A · thevialreport.com

Their crawler, caught red-handed in our firewall

Firewall log showing a crawler with the user agent TVR-discovery repeatedly requesting PeptideSupermarket® supplier pages and being blocked with HTTP 429 errors
A live log from our own firewall. The user agent TVR-discovery is The Vial Report's own crawler, recorded hammering our supplier pages and being blocked with HTTP 429 by our rate limiter. A site that verified prices with suppliers would have no reason to scrape a comparison site. They aren't collecting this data from suppliers - they're taking it from us.
Exhibit B · saveonthevial.com

Our name, all over their source code

We've preserved an Internet Archive snapshot of saveonthevial.com, so it can't be quietly edited after the fact. Check it yourself:

  1. 1 Open the archived snapshot using the button below.
  2. 2 Right-click anywhere on the page and choose “View Page Source” (or press Ctrl+U).
  3. 3 Search the source code (Ctrl+F) for “peptidesupermarket”.

You'll find references to peptidesupermarket.co.uk throughout their page source - the fingerprints of where their data really comes from, on a site that markets itself as an independent verifier.

Our site, cloned page for page

ViralPeps launched with a fresh coat of paint, but the site underneath is ours. The navigation matches ours item for item, in the same order (Peptides, Suppliers, Research, Guide, Tools, FAQ, About, Contact), and page after page carries our headlines and written copy verbatim. This is not inspiration - it is our intellectual property, reproduced without permission.

Their homepage: our hero, line for line

ViralPeps homepage with the headline "Search, compare, save. Find your next peptide deal today." copied word for word from PeptideSupermarket®
The badge reads “Live UK Price Comparison” - ours. The headline “Search, compare, save. Find your next peptide deal today.” is our homepage headline, word for word, split across the same two lines. The subheading (“updated daily, completely independent, always free”) is our sentence with their numbers dropped in. Below the search bar sit a “Popular:” row of peptide chips, the same three trust points (“Independent & unbiased”, “Prices updated daily”, “No hidden fees”) in the same order, and a “Trending right now” section. All of it is lifted from this site - including the independence claim.

Their peptides directory: our headline, our stat strip

ViralPeps peptides directory with the headline "Every UK peptide price, sorted cheapest first." copied from PeptideSupermarket®
“Every UK peptide price, sorted cheapest first.” is the exact headline on our peptides page, and the “peptides tracked / products tracked / Updated daily” strip under the search bar mirrors ours too.

Their supplier directory

ViralPeps supplier directory with the headline "Every UK peptide supplier, in one place." copied from PeptideSupermarket®
“Every UK peptide supplier, in one place.” - again our headline, word for word.

Their guide: our title and intro, with nothing behind it

ViralPeps guide page titled "The Research Peptide Guide" with the introduction copied from PeptideSupermarket® and sections marked full content coming soon
“The Research Peptide Guide” carries our exact introduction: “Everything you need to understand research peptides, use this site effectively, and make informed sourcing decisions. No prior knowledge required.” Scroll down and the copied sections end in “Full content coming soon” - the shell was stolen before there was anything to put inside it. Ask yourself: would you trust safety guidance from a site that couldn't be bothered to write its own?

And their own pages admit where the data comes from

ViralPeps supplier profile whose description reads "Rated 4.9/5.0 on PeptideSupermarket® with 27 products listed", citing PeptideSupermarket® as the data source
This is a ViralPeps profile for one of the suppliers we list. Read the description: “Rated 4.9/5.0 on PeptideSupermarket® with 27 products listed.” Their supplier data cites us as the source - on their own page, in their own words. The “independent” site is describing suppliers using our ratings.
Why it matters to you

Copycat sites put your money at risk

This isn't just our problem. When a site's data is copied rather than collected, and its trust signals are invented rather than earned, you carry the risk:

Stale or wrong prices

Copied figures go out of date the moment they are taken. You can end up paying more, or chasing a deal that no longer exists.

Invented trust signals

Ratings, "lab tested" badges and review scores with no method behind them are decoration, not verification.

No accountability

Suppliers can contact us to correct errors because they know who we are. Nobody is correcting a copycat's mistakes.

Unknown operators

A site willing to pass off someone else's work as its own has already told you how it treats honesty.

Protect yourself

How to spot a copycat peptide site

Before you trust any peptide comparison site, ask:

  • Does it explain, openly and specifically, how its prices are collected? Vague claims of "verification" with no method are a red flag.
  • Do the suppliers it lists actually know about it? We hold data-sharing arrangements with ours; copycats hold none.
  • Does its content read suspiciously like ours? Copied headlines and copied guides mean copied data.
  • Are its guides and "research" sections actually written, or empty shells marked "coming soon"?
  • Is there a real, named company behind it that you could hold accountable if a price sends you wrong?
